A Healing Trip for Health and Wellness: Uiseong Golden Garlic Village
Uiseong Golden Garlic Rural Experience and Recreation Village is a themed destination built around Uiseong’s most famous specialty: garlic. At the village entrance, you’ll find a large garlic-shaped sculpture welcoming visitors. This is also where Korea’s Important Agricultural Heritage System No. 10 is preserved — the Uiseong Traditional Irrigation Agriculture, a 2,000-year-old water management system dating back to the Samhan period (around the 1st century BCE). Here, you can learn how farmers developed unique techniques to overcome drought and poor soil conditions.
The village is surrounded by clean mountain air and peaceful rural scenery, making it a popular healing retreat for families. Visitors can enjoy cultural experiences, healthy food programs, and quiet relaxation in a rural setting.
